We may not realize it, but for most of us, our conscious goals and dreams are not aligned with the belief systems we hold in our subconscious. In this way, we sabotage our ability to attract the experiences and things we would prefer.
But why would this misalignment prevent us from achieving happiness and success? Because the subconscious part of our brain is vastly more powerful.
The subconscious is the part of the brain that deals with the ‘autopilot’ functions of the body, such as breathing. It’s a powerhouse compared to the conscious mind. It’s also the place where we store our deepest beliefs, the ones that shape who we are and how we believe the world operates.
The Nature of the Subconscious Mind
As the name suggests, the subconscious is a place we’re not aware of, making it difficult to pinpoint the deeply held beliefs that underpin our outward behaviors and thoughts. For example, no matter how much we tell ourselves there’s nothing to fear about dogs, encountering one will trigger our fear if we were bitten as a child. The subconscious mind will overpower our rational thinking until we heal from the emotional scar left by the trauma of the attack.
The Power of Neuroplasticity
Psychosynthesis, meditation, and techniques like Quantum Energy Coaching (QEC) work to align your subconscious mind with your conscious goals. Using these methods, we can change the belief systems and conditioning that no longer serve us. Thanks to the neuroplasticity of the brain, we can ‘rewire’ our neural pathways, freeing us from the limitations of our past.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to reorganize itself by forming new neural connections throughout life. This adaptability is crucial for overcoming deeply ingrained subconscious beliefs and behaviors. When we engage in practices that promote neuroplasticity, such as mindfulness and cognitive restructuring, we create new pathways that support healthier, more constructive beliefs.
Listening to Your Subconscious
Understanding the subconscious is crucial in your journey to achieving good health and success. The root cause of your behaviors and patterns rests upon the rules of life that you have learned subconsciously going all the way back to childhood. We are all a combination of both our parents and our environment.
For instance, everything we do, from how and what we eat to how we handle stress, comes from learning and mimicking. We have all had conscious and subconscious thoughts from when we were young, and these affect us in subtle and almost imperceptible ways—a major cause of our health problems. This does not merely regard physical health in the classic sense but also our emotions, which are now being recognized as almost more important than the physical aspect.
Techniques for Aligning Subconscious Beliefs with Conscious Goals
To align your subconscious beliefs with your conscious goals, various techniques can be employed:
Heart Coherent Breathing: This technique involves synchronized breathing patterns to align the heart and brain’s electrical impulses. By focusing on gratitude and love, you can create a state where new, positive thoughts can be installed into your subconscious. This practice helps in creating a new blueprint for your subconscious, not influenced by past conditioning but by your conscious desires.
Visualization and Affirmations: When in a relaxed state, visualize your goals and affirm positive beliefs. This practice helps in embedding these new beliefs into your subconscious, making them a part of your automatic thinking and behavior patterns.
Mindfulness and Meditation: Regular mindfulness and meditation practices increase awareness of your subconscious thoughts and help in identifying and modifying negative patterns. These practices also promote neuroplasticity, allowing for the creation of new, healthier neural pathways.
Cognitive Behavioral Techniques: Techniques such as cognitive restructuring help in challenging and changing negative thought patterns. By consistently practicing these techniques, you can replace limiting beliefs with empowering ones.
Overcoming Subconscious Limitations
Our subconscious beliefs often stem from early life experiences and conditioning. These beliefs can create limitations that affect various aspects of our lives, from health to relationships to career success. By identifying and addressing these subconscious beliefs, we can overcome these limitations and achieve greater success and fulfillment.
For example, one of my clients had deeply ingrained beliefs about his ability to succeed, stemming from childhood experiences of criticism and lack of support. Through a combination of QEC, mindfulness, and cognitive restructuring, he was able to identify these limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering ones. As a result, he experienced significant improvements in his confidence, performance, and overall well-being.
Practical Exercises to Rewire Your Subconscious
Here are some practical exercises to help you start rewiring your subconscious:
Gratitude Practice: Each day, take a few moments to focus on things you are grateful for. This practice shifts your focus from negative to positive, helping to rewire your subconscious towards positivity.
Affirmations: Write down positive affirmations that resonate with your goals and repeat them daily. For example, "I am capable of achieving my dreams" or "I am worthy of love and success."
Visualization: Spend a few minutes each day visualizing your goals as if they are already achieved. Imagine the feelings, sights, and sounds associated with your success.
Mindfulness Meditation: Practice mindfulness meditation to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings. This practice helps in identifying negative subconscious patterns and allows you to consciously choose more positive responses.
Cognitive Restructuring: When you notice a negative thought, challenge it by asking yourself if it is true. Replace it with a more positive and empowering thought.
The Impact of Subconscious Beliefs on Health
Your subconscious beliefs can significantly impact your physical health. Negative beliefs and chronic stress can lead to a variety of health issues, including heart disease, hypertension, and weakened immune function. By addressing and changing these beliefs, you can improve your physical health.
For example, stress-related health issues are common among entrepreneurs who often operate under high pressure. By learning to manage stress through mindfulness and cognitive restructuring, entrepreneurs can reduce the negative impact of stress on their health and achieve a better work-life balance.
Creating a New Blueprint for Success
To create lasting change and achieve your goals, it is essential to align your subconscious beliefs with your conscious desires. By employing techniques such as heart coherent breathing, visualization, affirmations, mindfulness, and cognitive restructuring, you can rewire your subconscious mind and unlock your full potential.
Remember, the journey to aligning your subconscious with your conscious goals is ongoing. It requires patience, practice, and persistence. But with consistent effort, you can overcome the limitations of your past and create a brighter, healthier, and more successful future.

Start a Gratitude Journal: Write down three things you are grateful for each day.
Daily Affirmations: Create a list of positive affirmations and repeat them every morning.
Visualization Practice: Spend five minutes each day visualizing your goals as already achieved.
Mindfulness Meditation: Practice mindfulness meditation for at least 10 minutes each day.
